Ten Tiny Dances® brings ten choreographers to a 4x4’ stage for bold, inventive performances inspired by “Abstract Expressionists: The Women.” Presented with Harvester Arts.
Join us for WAM Nights: Shaping Vision—five Wichita Painters on Process and Practice. Artists Sarah Chavez, Rachel Curtis, Sloane Dyer, Mary McCoy, and Kate Van Steenhuyse, moderated by Chloe Lang, will share insights into their work and discuss how their practices connect to larger art historical conversations. Presented in partnership with Harvester Arts, this free program complements the exhibitions “Abstract Expressionists: The Women” and “Framed in Friendship: American Women Artists and Their Networks.”
Watch models showcase original designs by Nina Winter (TISSU Studio) in a fashion show set inside “Little Black Dress at 100.” Sketch the looks as they unfold, enjoy live music, and make an evening of it at WAM Nights: From Dresses to Dapper—A Fashion Show in Black.
This Halloween, stop by the Wichita Art Museum for a spooky-fun art scavenger hunt! In celebration of WAM’s 90th birthday, follow a special treasure map filled with silhouettes of objects from the museum’s collection. Complete the hunt and trick-or-treat for sweet prizes along the way!
