WAM’s Digital Membership Card

Access your WAM membership card right from your phone! Beginning in August 2022, WAM Members will receive digital membership cards, a convenient, eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper cards.

Once downloaded to your smartphone, your digital card will automatically update each year when you renew. Plus, digital membership cards provide quick links to our website, contact information, and helpful reminders.

We look forward to sharing this new benefit with you. Thank you for being a member of WAM!

Why has the Wichita Art Museum added digital cards?

By going digital, we use less paper and you can more easily access your member benefits and renew your membership.

I don’t have a mobile phone, what can I do?
You will continue to receive and use your paper WAM Membership card.

I’d prefer not to use this digital membership card, so what should I do?
At this time, you don’t have to do anything. You can continue to receive and use your paper WAM membership card.

How will I use my digital membership card?
Your digital membership card displays your name, membership level, expiration date, and a barcode for us to scan. If you have a dual membership, both member names will appear. Simply show your digital membership card to our staff at the Welcome Desk or at the Museum Store to take advantage of your member benefits!

How do I receive my digital membership card?
Digital membership cards will be sent to the primary email address of every active membership. You will need to open this email on your mobile device and follow the instructions to download the card. The card will automatically be stored in your phone’s wallet app. Android users may need to install Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading your card.

My family member is on this membership account also, how can she/he receive the card?
For Dual level and above, the primary email on the shared record will receive a digital membership card via email. Members can then forward the email or use the share feature of the wallet app to ensure that their family member receives their digital membership card.

What if I don’t have a wallet app installed on my phone?
The email you receive will provide step-by-step instructions and a link to download the recommended wallet application to store your digital membership card and similar types of digital cards and passes.

How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?
Access the email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button at the bottom, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time.

    Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the “…” button on the front), then tap on the share icon at the top right to send the card to your secondary member. If you are an iOS user, you will find the share icon at the top right on the back of the card.

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?
Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” at the bottom of the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

    Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the small “i” on the front) and use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member.

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there–it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

I have a question about my membership benefits.
Please contact WAM about membership or benefits to the museum.

My name is spelled wrong or my membership level is incorrect.
Please contact the museum to update your membership records.

Will my digital card update when I renew my membership?
Yes! The digital card will automatically update when your membership information changes. For example, your expiration date and membership level will automatically update the next time you renew or upgrade your membership. This means that you only have to download the card once! You may receive a notification about a card update if you have an i[hone. Just click accept and your card will be up-to-date!

How will my reciprocal benefits work when visiting other museums?
Digital membership cards for Household Plus will display a ROAM logo and list participation in the reciprocal programs as a benefit of the membership level. Advocate member cards and above will similarly display ROAM, NARM, and AHS logos and benefits. Simply show your digital membership card at participating museums to receive free or reduced admission!

I am not sure I received my digital card. Can you send it again?
Yes! You may want to check the Junk, Spam, and Unwanted folders of your email. If you don’t receive an email or you accidentally delete the email, please contact us at membership@wam.org or 316-268-4921 for a new email with the link.

Can I update the email address(es) associated with my membership?
Yes! Please contact us at 316-268-4921 or membership@wam.org to update your information. Please also review and update your contact information as you renew your membership.

When will I receive my digital card?
Look for an email from the Wichita Art Museum sent via our digital membership partners, Cuseum. Your physical card will remain valid until the expiration date listed on the card.

Can someone else use my membership card?
Membership benefits are nontransferable.

I bought a gift membership. Will the recipient get a digital card?
Yes, we will send the digital membership to the recipient’s email address(es) provided by the gifter.
