In 1919, Herschel Greenbaum (Seth Rogen), an optimistic immigrant laborer, falls into a vat of pickles at his factory job and is preserved for 100 years. Emerging in present-day Brooklyn without aging, he meets his great-grandson Ben, an app developer. Their attempts to bridge the 100-year gap lead them to rediscover the true meaning of family and the value of a good pickle.
