Join us for a special screening of Shaft (1971), presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Homeward to the Prairie I Come”: Gordon Parks Photographs from the Beach Museum of Art. Following the film, Dr. Kevin Sylvester Harrison will lead a conversation on the cultural legacy of this groundbreaking work by Gordon Parks and its lasting impact on film and society.
Join author Lindsay Pollock for a talk on Edith Gregor Halpert, the pioneering art dealer who transformed the American art market, championed groundbreaking artists, and—through collector Elizabeth S. Navas—helped shape the Wichita Art Museum’s collection.
