At 1 PM, Wichita-based Matachines dance group La Sagrada Familia will perform, followed by a Spanish-language artist talk from 1:30–2:15 PM and an English-language artist talk from 2:30–3:15 PM with Einar and Jamex de la Torre.

Did you know WAM produced an original documentary for the exhibition “Safer Waters: Picturing Black Recreation at Midcentury”? Edited by Wichita filmmaker Maliq Little of Leak Productions, the film explores a central Florida lake resort for Black visitors (1949–1969) through the perspectives of artist Stephen Towns and those who experienced it. Join curator Dr. Tera Lee Hedrick and editor Maliq Little as they share the story behind the documentary and Towns’ work.
