About this Event
Pop-Up Bar and Gallery Hosts—Anila Quayyum Agha: Interwoven
Friday, January 31
6-8 pm
Gather with friends to enjoy drinks at a pop-up bar, then visit the new featured exhibition Anila Quayyum Agha: Interwoven when trained gallery hosts are available to share insights and answer questions. Exhibition tickets—available online and at the Welcome Desk—are required.
Anila Quayyum Agha: Interwoven surveys two decades of Agha’s career, including sculpture, installation, embroidery, painting, and drawing. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, and a naturalized citizen of the United States since 2005, Agha investigates the experiences of immigrants and women in her art. Interwoven comprises nearly 50 works drawn from major public and private collections to represent the conceptual throughlines of her practice—belonging, awe-inspiring wonder, and the experiences of American immigrants.
About WAM Nights: We’re open late on Fridays until 9 pm! Get your weekend started with after-hours access to the galleries and shopping in the Museum Store. WAM Nights include programs with artists, musicians, and performers–don’t miss your chance to see the art at WAM in a new way! The museum comes to life with local creatives during WAM Nights!
