WAM Nights Presents: More Like Jackie
Friday, June 20, 2025
6:30 PM | Howard E. Wooden Auditorium
Free and open to the public

On January 25, 2024, a bronze statue of Jackie Robinson was stolen from League 42, a nonprofit youth baseball league in Wichita. The theft made headlines around the world.

More Like Jackie—a documentary by the Wichita Eagle and Kansas.com—tells the story of how a community responded to that loss with unity, resilience, and action.

Join us for a special screening followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers Jaime Green and Travis Heying, and Wichita artists Ellamonique Baccus and Armando Minjarez, who contributed public art in the wake of the event.
