About this Event
It’s a summer of celebrity at WAM! Inspired by the featured exhibition ANNIE LEIBOVITZ / WORK, each film is related to a photograph by this iconic celebrity photographer and will include commentary and Q&A with a local expert.
Film Series #3: The Fifth Element
Taking advantage of the creative possibilities the sci-fi genre offers, this film starring Bruce Willis is a colorful, retro-futuristic adventure that is a masterclass in escapism. (2 hr 6 min) Rated PG-13.
Speaker:
Wichita native Shauntoray Grisby began her photography journey at 22 years old. From there, as her skills and interest in being behind a lens grew, she realized she had another passion—cinematography. After being active in the film community for many years, she recently wrapped up her first job as Director of Photography and hopes to continue this in the future.
