Explore the world of portraiture as you embark on your own thoughtful painting process during this three-session workshop. Learn the basics of portrait painting, study powerful examples of portraiture through the museum galleries, and have a blast while doing it! Be inspired by the featured exhibition Robert Peterson: Somewhere in America and other artworks on view.


This workshop includes 3 Sessions:
• Sunday, October 27
• Sunday, November 3
• Sunday, November 10 


Cost: $75/teen for all sessions.

About the Instructor:
Emily Cass received her bachelor’s in art education in 2021 and her master’s in arts leadership and management in 2024 from Wichita State University. Emily was an art educator at USD 259 for two years before pursuing a career focused on arts in the community. She is the gallery manager at Harvester Arts, a teaching artist at the Wichita Art Museum, a practicing visual artist, and an arts advocate.
