In partnership with Harvester Arts, WAM invites you to meet the artist featured in Now and Then: From the Studio of Kathleen Shanahan–the most recent exhibition in the Naftzger Family Regional Creatives Series.

Join Kansas artist Shanahan for a hands-on collage workshop inspired by Now and Then. She will begin by guiding participants through a collage exercise that demonstrates how process shapes her paintings and mixed-media works. Participants will manipulate provided images, experiment with composition, and explore intuitive decision-making. Kathleen will select a few of the resulting collages for group discussion, offering insight into how artists see, edit, and respond to visual material.

All materials provided. Open to all skill levels. This session offers a relaxed, engaging way to learn directly from a long-standing Kansas artist whose studio practice spans more than five decades.
