Join the Friends of the Wichita Art Museum for a lunch and lecture with Anne Kraybill, WAM’s new Director/CEO.

Early in Anne Krabill’s career, she realized there were a lot of anecdotal stories about the inherent value of art museums but little empirical evidence. Art museums preserve and care for works of art, but what is the impact of art museums upon society and community? During her tenure at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, she had the opportunity to answer these questions by partnering with researchers from the University of Arkansas to conduct groundbreaking research measuring the impact of field trips for K-12 students. Anne will share the findings of this research and how it has shaped her leadership as an art museum director.

The RSVP deadline for Art on a Monday has passed. We look forward to seeing you on October 3.

What is the impact of art museums upon society and community?
