About this Event

Nina Winter, TISSU Sewing Studio
Join textile artist and costume designer Nina Winter for a tour of the Wichita Wore What? A Century of Local Fashion exhibition before this show closes on August 6.
Look closely at the garments on display through Nina’s perspective as a fashion designer, including sewing techniques, fabrics, and historical influences on fashion today.
Nina has an MFA in Fashion Design & Merchandising from the Academy of Art – San Francisco and runs TISSU Sewing Studio, now in its ninth year of providing sewing and fashion education to our community.
About WAM Nights: We’re open late on Fridays until 9 pm! Get your weekend started with after-hours access to the galleries, dinner at 1400 by Elderslie (‘Happy Hour’ drinks 3-6 pm), or shopping in the Museum Store. WAM Nights will include programs with artists, musicians, and performers–don’t miss your chance to see the art at WAM in a new way! The museum comes to life with local creatives during WAM Nights! Connect with artists in the area during fun gallery experiences through WAM’s partnership with Harvester Arts.
