Most people can listen with their ears, but have you ever tried listening with your feet? There is so much to attune to as one walks: from other humans to one’s own thoughts, from the sounds of the landscape to the lives of other species.

Join artist and professor Dr. Rachel Epp Buller as she shares how she uses walking as a way of listening in her own creative practice and with students in her classroom.

Her sound piece, Winter Walking, will be on display from December 1, 2024 through February 28, 2025 at Great Plains Nature Center and at three other City of Wichita parks, and she invites the public to walk and listen along.
