About This Event
Join Professor Teresa Molina for a cultural presentation on the exhibition Power to the People: Mexican Prints from the Great War to the Cold War. Professor Molina will explore the political and social conditions of early-20th-century Mexico and the dynamic, groundbreaking art that emerged from the Mexican Revolution (1910–1920). During this period, printmakers used their artwork to promote revolutionary causes, critique government corruption, and uplift laborers and Indigenous Mexican culture.
Teresa Molina, Professor of Spanish, Interpreting, and Translation at Friends University, provided advising and translations for the Power to the People exhibition.
