About This Event
As Patricia McDonnell took the reins at WAM, she launched Art Chatter. Can you believe that was 10 years ago? She can’t! Wichita Art Chatter is a zesty Friday night—part happy hour, part thought cocktail. Creatives in Wichita give short pecha-kucha style presentations on their art or. . . just about anything else. Because they’re creative and take license, right? This program is beloved with a packed-house following. Viewers learn about amazing talents in our city and often laugh their hearts out.
Patricia will transition into retirement in Spring 2022. (She thinks she’s too young to retire, yet she’s doing it anyway!) Two Fall 2021 Art Chatters (Friday, October 1 and Friday, November 12) will be the final evenings for Patricia to orchestrate this zany, madcap event. And she is changing up the action, so you won’t want to miss out!
Select creatives from the past 10 years take the mic for a second time. You loved them once—you’ll love them more when you hear them again. Creatives include writer Bree Cox, video producer Rik Dubiel, designer Bill Gardner, musician Timothy Jones, artist Armando Minjarez, photographer Gavin Peters, and designer Jonathan Wood.
Advance RSVPs and tickets required. WAM members admitted free with reservation. RSVP or purchase tickets below. General public admitted with advance tickets at $15 each. Capacity will be limited to 200. The Museum Store also will be open late until the presentations begin at 6:45 pm.
