Celebrity Jazz Band
Have a swingin’ good time with the Celebrity Jazz Band. Put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun! Live music is part of the Taste of Jazz program in partnership with Wichita Jazz Festival.

Opening Day Talk: Art Deco in Our Hometown
Join architect Dean Bradley and art photographer Larry Schwarm as they present a travelogue of their Art Deco discoveries in Wichita. Both are exceptional artists who live in Wichita, plus they adore Art Deco. Together, they visited sites about town that reflect the best of this historic style. From Wichita’s original airport built in 1935 to our United States Courthouse completed in 1932, this pair will share images from their excursion around town and discussion of classic Art Deco in Wichita.

Calling All Cool Cats!
Learn to Charleston with the Wichita Swing Dance Society then take to the floor and cut a rug with the pros to the swinging tunes of the Celebrity Jazz Band.

Admission is free to Art Deco Opening Day activities. Admission to the American Art Deco exhibition requires a ticket that may be purchased at the museum’s Welcome Desk.
