Explore the historic collections of Boston, Hartford, and Salem amidst New England’s colorful foliage. Enjoy guided looks at cherished private collections, director-led tours of acclaimed museums when they’re closed to the public, and exclusive receptions in memorable venues.

Begin with a private tour and reception at the oldest continually operating U.S. public art museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. Take a private look at the nearby New Britain Museum of American Art, the first U.S. museum dedicated to American art, featuring works by Cassatt, Church, Hartley, and other masters.

Later, the director of the Hill-Stead Museum will guide us through its superb impressionist art collection housed in a Colonial Revival mansion designed by pioneering female architect Theodate Pope Riddle. Gather for for an insider’s look at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, and a day trip to the Peabody Essex in Salem–just in time for Halloween!
