Poetry Unchained is a series of events featuring poetry written by individuals who are incarcerated and performed by Ponder. This. poets. This program will include additional original poems, a performance by musical guest Kimberly Paige, and an introduction to the exhibition Robert Peterson: Somewhere in America with WAM curator Dr. Tera Lee Hedrick.

Contemporary artist Robert Peterson's inaugural museum exhibition, Somewhere In America, presents a collection of loving and joyful portraits celebrating African American life, community, and legacy. Featuring key works from his oeuvre alongside over 20 new monumental paintings, the exhibition reflects Peterson's deeply personal and collective experiences.
