vanessa german: THE BEAST, or Self Portrait
Ongoing
Carlene and Lee Banks Rotunda Gallery
About This Exhibition
vanessa german’s THE BEAST, or Self Portrait is deeply personal. The artist calls the sculpture a “physical self-portrait” — the first in her career — but also a “self-portrait of the soul, of the heart, a self-portrait of my own experience of being myself.”
Included in the exhibition is a short interview with the artist, recorded at the studios of Method Productions in Wichita, as she discusses THE BEAST, or Self Portrait.
