WAM is committed to supporting preschool, K-College faculty and their students through FREE student tours, bus reimbursement, and programs and resources for educators.

K-College Group Visits

Guided Group Visits
Bring your class to WAM. Schedule a FREE visit, and WAM will reimburse you for your bus!
Support your students’ development of critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and social-emotional learning through a FREE, 60-minute guided experience! Guided group visits encourage close observation and support interactive learning in small group settings. Visits for students from Kindergarten through College must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.

Self-guided Group Visits
A self-guided visit allows you and your students to explore the museum independently, at your own pace.
• Schedule your visit at least one week in advance to qualify for free admission to featured exhibitions and free bus reimbursement.
• One adult chaperone for every ten students is required, and chaperones are responsible for actively monitoring student groups in the galleries. -
K-12 Artmaking Workshops
Pair art-looking with Art Studio time in an inspired artmaking workshop. A 90-minute visit includes a focused look at works on view and artmaking led by a WAM Teaching Artist.
• Workshops are available on Fridays, October-May.
• Availability is limited, and requests must be made at least three weeks in advance.
• $250 for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 35 students. (contact us for larger groups accommodation and pricing) -
Art Start for Preschool Groups:
A free program for preschools, homeschools, and daycare centers
Art Start is a free program for preschool students to create, learn, and engage with art. Art Start for preschools, homeschools, and daycare centers is available on Wednesday mornings and afternoons.
• Includes artmaking, art looking, stories, and music/movement.
• New theme each month, so come regularly!
• Space is limited. Advance registration is required.
• 100% bus reimbursement is available. -

WAM would love to host your next teacher in-service or professional development at WAM or visit your school or district to share more information about our programs, resources, and featured exhibitions.

Mix and mingle with other K-College educators, learn about what’s new at WAM, and enjoy FREE admission to the featured fall exhibition.
• 6:00-8:00 pm features conversation starters with gallery hosts in the featured exhibition.
