Friends University students bring the museum to life for Spanish Night!

Join us for Spanish Night at the Wichita Art Museum, a lively evening filled with performances, food, and fun for all ages!

Highlights:

  • Dance performances and live music
  • Guided gallery tours in Spanish
  • Food trucks serving delicious street fare
  • Interactive StoryTime and family activities in our PLAY space

Gallery Tours 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Experience the collection in Spanish, guided by Friends University student docents Damien Hill, Alex Lopez-Contreras, Faith Smith, and Elijah Zortman in the (im)permanent and Rotunda galleries. Tours depart from the Ablah Gallery at 6:30 pm, 6:50 pm, 7:10 pm, and 7:30 pm.

Bilingual StoryTime  6:30 pm & 7:30 pm
  • El Gato Bebe Leche by Lilly Jo: bilingual story presentation. English read by author Lilly Jo Gattis, Spanish read by Friends University HALO president Abigail Tello.

Family Activities in PLAY 6 – 8 PM
Explore Art-making and interactive programs for family and youth with bilingual HALO students in WAM’s interactive space.

About WAM Nights:We’re open late on Fridays until 9 pm! Get your weekend started with after-hours access to the galleries, or shopping in the Museum Store.
